This week is my last week (12th week) of ed coans bench routine. I started with a 275 max, now its at 315, a huge jump. Now what am i supposed to do after this week until I can do this program again or the Mm2k program where you can potentially add 50 lbs to your bench?

I just finished week 11 of Coans bench mate. Will be going for 270 next week and I haven't decided what to do next either. What do you think about doing another 12 weeks of Coans to get me up to 300?

Honestly, if the program is working for you why change it? There is no where in the powerlifting world where it says you have to completely change your program after you complete it. Run it again if it's still working for you. If it ain't broke, don't fix it..

I'd agree with running it again after a week off if it worked well (which it did)
Could easily see another 40lb gain.

run the smolov jnr routine for your bench, the volume will shake things up, then deload take a max and then run the coan routine again. Sorted!

This sounds good but I'm not sure if I want to neglect everything else with benching 4 times a week.

You can keep running that Coan program until it stops working. It's set up so it doesn't burn you out. I wouldn't expect the same gains every time but you are off to a good start. It's a good program that works fundamentals of the lift.

Maybe run smolov jnr for bench and squats at the same time. I have seen, although cannot quote, successful journals that have done so. I think you can add a little bit of your own stuff when doing smolov jnr anyway.
Maybe this helps???

If your like me the first few weeks were fairly easy so I would say running it back to back wouldnt be a terrible plan.
if your looking to do something new (doing the same exact thing every bench day can get a little stale) I would just make sure you keep the intensity low for a few weeks to recover from the heavy training.
*Thread hijack* for the guys who had success with this program what weight did you use as your 1rm when starting the program? I started 10lbs lighter then my actual max and still couldnt get all the reps for the last few weeks. All I accomplished was getting my close grip bench closer to regular bench (0 gains on bench)

I put in 110kg(242lbs) in as my max because that was what I maxed out at the week before I started lol. I've missed a couple of reps on close grip on the way but not many and I've actually had to increase the weight on my inclines because they were too light. I hit 115kg(253lbs) for 2 sets of 2 this week and will be going for 122.5kg(270lbs) next week.
with ed coans bench press is the only thing you work out the bench presses hes listed or can you put squats deadlifts etc in there because i wouldnt really want to take 12 weeks out from working out the rest of my body?

I don't know if your supposed to but I've still got a leg, back, arms(light bench) and even shoulder days. Shoulders might be something you don't want to go to heavy on if your doing them though.
