Alright, I had to get my son out of the house or he would just be watching tv all day. I needed to get my legs pumped cuz they are sore as hell after that squat workout. I decided to take my son up to the Lanikai lookout. These are old WWII lookouts where the Army had gun turrets and they looked for subs to shoot at. It' pretty cool and I haven't hiked up there since the kids were babies. Going up was easy. Coming down my legs were shaking! :D

Kailua Bay. This is where I live about 2 blocks inland. Kailua Bay is world renown for kite surfing

The Mokes. This is possibly my favorite view of Hawaii. It pretty much sums is up. The only thing better is when you catch the sunrise between these two islands.

It is why I always tell my friends who visit. Make sure you take at least one day to just cruise over to Kailua Town and see the real Hawaii. Waikiki and all the tourist traps are cool but this is amazing! And it's not packed with tourists and people trying to sell you memorabilia!

Wow, spectacular pics... what I'd give to be there right now! Been to Hawaii but didn't make it over to Kailua Town, maybe next time!
