I thought I remember reading something about knee wraps recently being made legal in USAPL. Is this true? I assume it is only in the open class, correct? Thanks.

as far as i know, knee sleeves are fine as long as they don't have velcro straps (i.e. inzer sleeves), but i've had a hard time finding a solid source. APT's website says:
1] The USAPL now defines raw/unequipped lifting as using only a singlet, belt, wrist wraps and knee sleeves. Now, a word on knee sleeves. At this point in time, as an organization we are going to accept ALL commercial grade knee sleeves until notified differently. 2] The USAPL will now move raw/unequipped lifting from the local/state level to the national level. On this note, Harold Gaines will direct the first ever raw/unequipped national championships during July 2008, in St. Louis. Any further questions, or clarification pertaining to raw/unequipped lifting, please feel free to contact me directly at: rhk@verizon.net.
****, just realized you said "wraps" and not "sleeves". as far as i know, wraps are allowed in all usapl geared competition.

I am in the middle of that right now.
Knee Wraps were just made "illegal" in the USAPL Raw division.
Knee Sleeves can be used in the Raw division.
Knee Wraps can be used in geared divisions as usual.
It's detailed in this Thread:

Knee wraps are legal in the WNPF Raw division for one, and may be for other Feds.
