I just looked up Alton Brown's ice cream recipe. It's as follows.
1 cup Heavy Cream
2 cups Half n Half
1 cup sugar plus two tablespoons
2 vanilla beans
2 table spoons of peach preserves (no idea why)
Do you think the following would work?
1.5 Cups whipping cream - 11.5g carbs
1.5 Cups calorie countdown milk - 4.5 carbs
Liquid Sugar Twin - No carbs
2 Vanilla beans
I've never made ice cream, and don't have a machine but if this would work I'd be all over it. It should roughly make 1 quart of ice cream and the whole thing would only contain 16 carbs.
I was also thinking to make chocalate I could use calorie countdown chocolate milk. That would up the carbs by about 10 for the whole amount.
Thoughts?
