I just started keto yesterday afternoon and thought I should go ahead and start logging it, since I already have a good feeling about it. I was previously attempting a lowfat diet and having a hard time of it; I was hungry every 2 hours, which would cause me to overeat as I'd wait until the three hour mark where I'd find myself starving and binging on carbs. Lately carb overload results in at least a pound or two of weight gain overnight! I know that sounds like it should be water weight but it's not. When I gained excess fat in the first place I had weeks where I gained 5 pounds a week, so I'm guessing I am very sensitive to carbs and other processed crap.
So far since yesterday I've been stuffed eating all this protein. I'm a little concerned about keeping up with the calories from the fat. Years of on-off lowfat dieting has made me a good calorie estimator though.
I went ahead and spent a few hours searching for keto friendly recipes and created a Google document where I can update when I find new ones, here's a link if anyone's interested :

Weight = 182 pounds
Goal Weight = 135 pounds
Height = 5'5
Waist=41 1/4, Midwaist=41 1/4, Chest 37 (only counting these as this is where fat is mainly deposited)
LBM= 110
Protein requirement = 110 gms
Calories aiming for: 1300 (hope this is right)
Yesterday I had version of chicken cordon bleu which was decent, just chicken w/ ham slice and cheese melted on top. Will try cutting chicken in half and stuffing instead next time.
here's todays menu:
B: 3 Bacon slices + 2 eggs w/ cheese slice = 20 gms P, appx 300 cal.
L: My Mom's Swiss Steak at Allrecipes (note: rub meat w/ Pappy's seasoning before browning) 2 servings = 44 gms Protein, appx 600 cal.
Salad w/ ranch , half oz cheese, bacon = 5.5 gm protein, 250 cal.
-This tasted like an Italian pot roast w/ tomatoes, very good.
D: Planning on Tuna Lettuce Wrap w/ Lime, Mayo, Cilantro, pepper, tabasco, maybe cumin, salt 32 P, Cal ?
7:09 PM Change to dinner: I'm not hungry enough to eat my full dinner- instead I've had-
4 oz ribs guesstimate 15 P
1 water cracker/cheese
jello and w. cream again
I'm short on protein about 20 gm. I still seem to be in the mindset of less calories if at all possible. Am telling myself you have to wait at least a week before you start guessing if this will result in fat loss. The only thing my body has responded to so far has been calorie restriction, so we'll see.
Decided to move this log to the losing fat log section
