I am a 43 year old woman who is trying to lose alot of weight. I weigh 263 and I am 5'4". I have been walking on a treadmill 4 to 5 times a week sometimes twice a day, and have cut back on my total calorie intake. My question is how much fat and carbs should I eat in a day to lose weight? I have increased my protien and cut back on the portions of my meals. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Hi. OK, walking and treadmill is great! When trying to lose weight you should eat more protein than carbohydrates and very minimal fat. Carbs and fat are energy foods and if there's too much of them left over they store as fat. The body uses for energy burning carbs, fat then protein in that order. So in your smaller meals through the day use this formula.....
Fats 1 (or none)
You didn't say if you have access to weights or such. But eventually adding a circuit type full body weight routine 2 - 3x a week when you've built up your endurance will help speed your metabolism, doing more activity burning more fat, losing more fat and weight.
