Hi Guys....

I am totally new to this but I am looking just to slim down a bit. I eat a low carb diet consisting mostly of chicken and veggies and do about 30 min of cardio a day. I am also taking a twice a week ab class. I have heard that weight lifting will also burn off fat more quickly, which is what I am looking to do. My main problem area is my stomach, I just lack definition and have a bit of unnecessary pudge.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some weight lifting tips just to point me in the right direction...and please be specific as I really am not educated on the lingo at all.

Thanks!
Jenny

Thats a very large question covering a wide area. Your best bet is to get some books. A good beginners book which is quite motivational aswell is "Body for Life" by Bill Phillips. Another is "The Edge" by the Weider brothers, it goes into some details on excersises and supplements. That should be enough to answer most of your questions. There are also many many articles on this site, you can do a search if you want. But it might be quite technical. I also saw an advertisement for a book that one of the members here wrote in the "general chat" section of the Female forum. Good Luck.
