I cant fking beleave this this is soooooooo damn awsome. I went from maxing at 225 to hitting 245 on a cg!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS MIGHT BE THE BEST PART BUT GUESS WHAT...

This guy i asked to spot me did and all up until 225 then i was like thanks bro because he said he had to leve so i started takeing the weight off, hten i thaught, fk that. So i put more on and asked some built guy to spot me.

He did and boy was he impressed with me, hes like "so your a senior" I told him im going to be a junior "your going to be a damn animal by the time your a sneior!!!!!"

Then this other kid who graduate last year, he watched me hit 240 with ease and was like, damn nice bro. Then the guys like, you have another 5 in you so i was like sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my god i could go on and on and on and on about how this all came out so beautiful but i dont want to bore you.

P.S- what do you think constitues a bench max for a 245 CG, I was thinking maybe 255?

That is what im talking about bro. A 245 closegrip is great. I can only max out with a 260 close grip, your a ****ing animal indeed. I am so happy for you, and ill bet you jumped for joy when you got that. Id say higher than 270-275 bench for you, id give you 280 bro cause thats a damn good close grip. I always closegrip 35-40 lbs over my normal bench. I think you have surpassed where you want to be my friend. Great job and congrats man. Once you do that program i gave you your only gonna go up, so enjoy your vacation and eat some good food for recovery boy.

Just decided im going to add some cardio in once per week, keep same diet. Im getting outside my safe zone fat wise. My midsection is getting unhappy on me! Jogging for no more then 25 mintues. Besides football is a month away and i have got to get used to it!

Absolutely killed my biceps today. Felt kind good, my right arm can probley handle the 50's the way my left handles the 40s but my left didnt do to bad today. My shoulder plan got fked up because about 20 football players were fking around in the gym today from the school down the street. There badazz coach thinks he owns Gols anyhow. Oh well, ill just go in early next time. Damn nice bicep workout today i think.

i had to go the hospital to get something checked and i have something called horseshoe kidney, plus i gots gyno in my left nipple

Sorry to hear that bro. Nothing you can do about medical conditiions, we all have them. I had 11 warts on my hands for like 4 years, until recenetly. What kind of confidence problems you have? Looking good for the ladies or something or just beleaveing in yourself?

Think of it this way, you can only get better with weight training. Try a bodybuilding routine or what not and see how that goes. You made some damn good streangth gains. NOt many people who weight what you do bench 225. Dont let the set backs get the best of you bro. You can change many things about yourself and your charachter with weight training. You aught to really consider lifting as hardcore as you can again. In the end though you know whats best for you. Best of luck through your times man!

Calve press: 180x15, 270x15, 360x15

Not bad today, my back is tender because i havent squated in awhile. Took them nice and deep in the power rack and made every rep count. SLD's were horrible today, felt really hard and week.

I was doin box squats 2 weeks ago, attempted 300

first time ive felt 300 on my back
surprisingly it felt light on me standing up with it
i found my nice groove wherei like the bar and my feet

just gettin off the box was the prob :D

BB Shrugs: 135x8, 205x7, 225x5, 235x

Narrow Stance Deadlifts: 135x3, 205x3, 225x3, 265x3

Powerclean: 135x1, 135x1, 145x1

Goodmornings: 85x5, 95x3, 105x6


Today was pretty HARDcore. BB Shrugs are steel weak. Is it ok to bend the elbows slightly during these? Its the only way i can do them fast and heavy. 265 ALMOST KILLED ME. I had cables and veins, and rod irons comeing out of my neck i didnt know were in there. Braught some interesting sound effects out of me to. HANGCLEANS SUCK. Man, i can let the bar roll back on my finger tips at the top position because my left wrist locks up. I dont know what my max is. Might be 155 or so. I have a feeling i might come is as one of the weekest football players this year.

I'm a little confused here. You did powercleans, but you mentioned hang cleans in your comments. Did you get them messed up? And for the power/hang clean, did you max that?

hahaha my bad steel. I corrected myself the second time i mentinoed it with the HANG clean. I was performing hang cleans. I wasnt about to rip that sh!t of the floor after deads!!! No I didnt max on those today. First time ever doing them and they are hard to do!!!

Alright, today is bull**** and nothing more.

Benchpress: 135x5, 185x5, 225x5, 185x4

I practicalely worked out today on a cup of oats and a protein shake, because i had to go to the DMV take a test, go to my dads work, then go to the gym. Next time im not going on an empty stomach. ALl that matters now is that next week when i max, is that i hit something nice. You know whats funny though, soon as i had my big streangth spell and everything, the football team from down the street, now there starting to hit 225 for like 5 and 6, then do it again for another 5 and 6. I dont think my spottre helped me today wich is GOOD, he was some rude bastard and when i asked him hes like , "uhhhhhh". Didnt feel like he did.


Im going to hit something big though this next week.

Thanks guys! I took my written test and missed the maximum of 8 lol! First time and i passed. I was so pumped watching those guys lift though, i wanted to lift again. Cant weight to beat some iron bench ass next week!!! Dedication has got me thus far. Only a couple more bench sessions left then i max for football.

Still, I can't rep 225...yet.

Those sucky workouts, you just have to give it all considering the energy you had. It may not have been as great as last time, but would it have measured up to last time if your energy level was low last time? Don't compare lows to highs. Not sure if it's making sense.

Squats were awsome today, the heavier I went, the easier! 315 was being blasted as soon as i lowered it and it touched the safety bars it flew up so easy. I was going to go for like 8 but i remebered to only do five!!! Hope my squat max is more then 335 this time, it has to be, i just fked up on 335 last time and was to embarrassed to do more! Hope my bench is as good as my squat.

Your doing good, just work work. As for the bench, tommorow would be a good day to max out. At the end though, you have to max again. I think your bench tommorow should go something like this

135 X 5

185 X 1

240 X 1

250 X 1

275 X 1

That way you get 2 warm up sets, and you wont be totally warped with all those reps you listed earlier. Fill your body with lots of carbs, and drink Gatorade during your workouts from now on in so you keep carbing up and getting that extra energy. Rest for 3 min before you go for your max, and if you think you can get more, go for it. Good luck tommorow, im looking forward to your result.

Ive got 2 weeks until football, and then ill be in the gym once a week. Noone puts 25 pounds on the BP in two weeks. It looks like im going to be hitting 250 in front of all my football freinds. Probley 15 kids will hit 250............everyone these days hits 250, when you 185, it aint ****. Looks like ill be hitting 315 in collage.

What piss's me off is, it went up quick....not fast but quick. NO grunting or anything. 255 goes up 3/4's and thats it. I better kill my squat tomarrow or i dont know what im going to do. WOrst ive felt in a long time.

Taken me 3 months to hit 250 from 225, football is going on for 3 months, then ill have to get my bench back up to 250, and in about 6 months i should be at 275, I just dont want to think about it. I know ill kill the squats though.

Alright, well, a little note to myself here, Ive finalley ben able to sit and think about today, and what the fk happend. Today, I took to the lift like a little b!tch. I was nervous going in, best way i can describe it is like when you first play football as a midget, and your going up against someone bigger then you for the first time, and your going to have to hit, that kind of feeling. I let the weights b!tch me today. The reason you never here me bitch about a squat is because i dont worry about them, until im in there, then i light them up, im just stressing myself out to much over the bench. I SWEAR though, this is not happening again, next max time, im going 135x5, 185x1, 250x1, then kick some heavy metal ass. There is a lesson to be learned and ive learned mine today.

Sounds almost like my max-out last week. I think part of my problem was using a spot for the last set. Without that safety net, you're forced to get it up come hell or high water..

Try not to harp on it. Work for it, bust your ass, and it'll come when it wants to come. You can't do more than your best and you can't be too disappointed at what your best can accomplish.

I guess that is ok if i can realy pull it. I used to pull 405 sumo style for 6 or more, and my max was 440. I wasn't much of a deadlifter. I think i might just become a bench specialist cause thats my best lift, and i keep getting stronger at it.

Thanks proppy, i hope my deads up there. I want to be able to pull 3 plates for 10 atleast. I realy never cared much for deads but i wasn't bad at them. Fullback work as hard as you can with what you got left, and max on your dead. You never know your dead might actually be pretty good.

If you're really up to it, go for it...but only if you've got a few days to rest before the big max-out...Make sure you go into max out at the top of your game.

But whatever you do, good luck. Half the struggle is believing in yourself. So focus on the disappointed attitude before anything else. Get yourself psyched up for the upcomeing lift and forget your previous failure.

I would honestly just wait until maxout. You could practice with a little weight for form sakes....but other than that, dont actually try or bust your ass before max out. You want to be at your best at max out. Before you max out, id recommend 30-60 prior to workout you have complex and simple carbs, and have a good amount of protein. Of course, this is speaking from a personal point, since i workout in the morning and have cereal with milk.

Maybe try an attempt plan like this:

45x10
95x8
135x3
185x1
235x1
maybe try a new PR attempt now before 275...if you're gonna try 275 that is

Thanks guys, I think ill just do my dead and some biceps and wait to bench. What did you mean Steel by doing 235? You think maybe 275 is to high of a goal right now? Im going to be happy with anything over 250 now, preferabley 260ish. If he lets us warm up when we max out ill try something like:

That 235 would be a warmup weight....not what you'd max lol :p

I think that if you can get everything perfect, that you have 275 in you. Otherwise, 260s no doubt.

Awsome workout. COuldnt asked for better. I was nervous about 275 but hit it, finalley 315, some serious gruting, went up nice and fast. 325, errr serious noises, had blew it off the ground, kind of tough pulling it up but it never started to go down. THink I had 10 more in me but i didnt want to risk my form or injury. Shrugs were easy as ****, what a joke they were. SOme guy was doing biceps and triceps, came over right next to me and started doing some shrugs and grunting and doing all kinds of gay **** then went back to his biceps so then i did my shrugs and i dont htink he knew what to think.


Feels good haveing new goals here. I think its my benchpress's turn to go up. total is only 945, though.

sounds like your strong off the ground, weaker in themid of the dead..opposite of me

do 18" deadlifts and like 24" deadlifts for awhile(below and above the knees is about where it is...i set the power rack pins as low as poss...comes out to 18) thatll really strengthen the middle of your deadlift

as long as I can get a weight to my knees, that bad boy WILL go up

Thanks proppy for the advice. Ill put it to use. Yea at first i thaught it was my sticking point, right off the ground, but when i got heavier one good grunt would get it up and i wouldnt even feel it. Never have had a good lower back.

I used to be at 335...got up to 375, and working alot of 18" Dl's got me above the 400 mark

Very sad day for me and my family today guys. My last day in the gym before football starts Monday. I mean, the gym has ben my one true only freind this summer, and now im going to only see it 1 day a week if things go good. Hmmm....some tips id mention are:

Starting form

1) Dominant leg in front
2) Ass high up
3) Face looking straight
4) arms to your side
5) start your run by pushing off and staying low the first 10 yards

First 10 yards
1) Stay low until you're standing upright after 10 yards
2)Short fast strides
3)Remember that your hands should be in the *karate chop* shape...not fist shape

10-30 yards
1) Go with the flow....gradually widen your stride by the 20 yard mark until the end
2) Just run!

30-40 yards
1) You should be at your fastest part of the run now
2) Run as fast as you can straight through the 40 yard mark until you've sprinted 50-60 yards....trust me, go full speed through that line and dont slow down till 10+ yards after the mark

I know this isnt weights but, think ill post it because, it was a motherfking workout trust me.

Today first day of practice, 3:00-7:00.

first we ran a quarter of a mile, did some warmups, very intesense. After breaking down into drill and stuff half way throgh we run, two 50's, 2 40's, and 4 20's. Water break then we go back out adn do 50 yard kick offs, full speed, 4 times. Then we broke down into offense. Im going out for fullback so alot of sprints for 20 yards running plays etc. Torwards the end of practice we ran, 2 50's, 2 40's and a 100. FUK guys this was pretty hardcore for me. I just didnt feel fast at all. Felt kinda weird, like felt heavy. Still sucking wind and cramps are a bitch. Any suggestions for the cramps guys?

Potassium, more water, and getting used to it will help.

I dont exacty have experience, since ive never been over 140, sorry.

You have several choices:

1) Start O-lifts
2) Lose weight (slowly)
3) Get used to sprinting

Most likely itll be a combination of those.

I mean, im one of the best built people on the team, and i weight 190 and am leaner then a good bunch, and there are hell of people fatter then me like the tightends. .25 of a mile, 4 40's, at the end 4 40's 2 100's. Felt pretty damn fast today, i ran with the lineman instead of the backs and came in 3rd out of about 28 kids so hell of a day running i think.

Steel, I would really like to know my 40 to. A collage fullback averages a 4.7-4.9 40, im thinking mine might be a little higher, but as the season goes on itll get better im sure. I mean i smoke most of the line by about 10 yards even when everyone starts out uneven.

Pain yea that attitude is so unattractive. And it seems as if they all have it. One thing I would hate about working out with Tommy Fannon is sometimes he plays that rap music crap ive noticed.

Saturday:

Benchpress 3x3 ex: 135x 185, 225
Powercleans 3x3
Shrugs 3x3

The Next Saturday:

Squat 3x3
Powerclean: 3x3
Snatchs: 3x3


Keep it heavy and explosive, and sometiems light. What you bros think?

That looks nice and compact. I'd give it a go. If you feel drained, be careful.

And about the 40, 10yds is quite a distance to out run the other players. You're probably around 1-2 sec faster then them in the 40 i bet.

Today, did half a warm up lap around he track because we had to take the soccer posts out of the ground and carry them to the soccer field. Made my shoulder burn.

4 20's, 2 40's 2 50's then we did 8 20's. After practice we did "jingle jangers" sprint 10 yards, immediately back into the stance or else he adds more, keep doing that with no break. Did 10 good ones back and fourth.

Got all my gear today. Think I know fullback well enough to go in and get some reps tomarrow. Hope I dont get my ass handed to me. Going to kick some mother****ing ass out there tomarrow when we go full gear. Ive decided my goals are nto to set bench records or the such, but i wnat to be a player that the coach talks about to his players years to come. Still want my 315 benchpress buy next year!

P.S- our weight room is so ****ty, We are going to squat on a fking SMITH MACHINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!! Piss's me off .

Well, you'll gain speed fast, especially if you havent sprinted in a long time. See, if i could run my speed at your size, id actually be able to be a back lol. But, im sure only ill only be WR or RB atm. But i like tacklin people. When we play neighboorhood kid football for fun, i tackle sometimes by jumpin on their back and pullin them back hard. Works almost everytime, even kids over 250 :)

You should be able to bench a lot more on smith lol

Thing is, if this Fullback goes down, wich he usuealley does, he has to wear knee braces on both legs to play and ankle raps and is prone to injury, I bet Ill be starting!

Lol na, I dont wish that on anyone, because I end up getting hurt instead. He is just prone to it, he has ben out half way through every season since freshman. I play for ya guys, just give your streangth!

Hahahaha that is a different story, realisticalley, it seems as if i only attract the fat ones, or the nice ones are to shy or some stupid ****. Had to tell a fat one off or two in my time though.
